Il Verde Modern Italian Restaurants

Il Verde is King Street’s contemporary Italian dining destination. “Il Verde” in Italian translates to “The Green” and refers to Il Verde’s use of fresh and sustainable (or green) ingredients in their innovative dishes. This initiative is a proud food ethos that the team at Il Verde takes seriously and to heart.

Il Verde’s owners are no strangers to wholesome Italian dining, which is seen and tasted through the beautiful mixture of innovative, inventive flavours that fall upon one’s plate, all of which also intertwine traditional European flavours. Interestingly, the Trio Dom Barakat, Simon Barakat, and Ibrahim Haddid (known as Bob) boast a combined 40 years of experience in the industry.

With space for 90 diners between the indoor dining room and outdoor lounge, a menu of hearty pastas and specialty wood-fired pizzas have been crafted to suit diners of every age. Here, guests will be surrounded by the fresh open air and an array of lush plants in their outdoor lounge and/or they can even be seated inside in a hearty U-shaped, cushioned booth in their indoor dining area.

On Tuesdays, from 6pm-8pm, one can indulge themselves with Il Verde’s entrée of polenta chips, a plate full of hot creamy pasta that comes straight from a giant wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano, a glass of wine, and dessert for $45pp. Additionally, their lunch hour, 12pm-2pm, includes a cheesy Margherita Pizza for just $15.
