White Chapel & Black Hall Kalbar

White Chapel Kalbar is one of the newest wedding venues around.  It’s an elegant, historical chapel located around 50 minutes from Brisbane in the tiny historical town of ‘ Kalbar’ in the magnificent Scenic Rim.

This year they won ‘Australian Small Business of the Year’ for venues and also came runner up for the ‘reception’ category and the ‘ceremony’ category in the ABIA awards.

The beautiful chapel can seat up to 90.  It boasts beautiful lighting fixtures from Texas in the USA, air conditioning, wifi and a hidden ‘partner’s room’ where they can relax before the bride arrives.

The venue is spread across half an acre on the main street with the stylish Black Hall reception/functions/events area.  What was once the Sunday school has now been transformed into a black and white Amish style barn with a stone fireplace and antler chandelier.  It can seat just over 70 or is perfect for 85 cocktail style.

White Chapel also have beautiful country gardens for outdoor ceremonies and guest games, and a rustic barn bar complete with pressed metal bar and ladder chandeliers.  There’s also a pergola area complete with outdoor fireplace for small events or cocktail and canapes.

They can offer new bridal homestead –  ‘Herrmann House’  which is located around 50 metres down the road, has also been adored by many brides.

White Chapel and Black Hall Kalbar have just been presented with a 4.5 star deluxe rating by the Australian tourism ratings and master builders award for its renovations.

With regards to local accommodation, there are over 120 beds within 15 minutes and they have their own bus that can move guests to and from the venue.
